All the browsers are basically configured to be dial-up friendly. But what about broadband users? yup broadband users will not be able to unleash the full power of their browser unless……they do a little tweaking.
The following tips will make Firefox and Internet Explorer load web pages quicker than before.Well i can guarantee that it’ll work with firefox but with IE……we’ll…
FireFox Optimization
Open Firefox: and load a webpage…see the time it takes to load the page
- Type about:config in the adress bar
- Filter with keyword ‘network’
- Double click network.http.pipelining and set it to true
- Double click network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to set value from ‘4′ to a higher value like 10
Now Try loading the same webpage and see the difference
Internet Explorer Optimization
- got to Start> Regedit>
- Hkey_Current_User > Software > Microsoft >Windows >Current Version > Internet Settings
- MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server & Max ConnectionsPerServer (indicates max no of connections per page)
- Double click and increase the default values to(Decimal) 10. Close regedit
Now Test IE and see the difference
