This is not something new, but the question “Can i download those videos from Youtube?” keeps popping up now and then.
- Step 1: Download Firefox
- Step 2: go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3590
- Step 3: download the Fast Video Downloader addon
- Step 4: Restart Firefox
- Step 5: Now you will be able to see a small icon on the right corner of your browser’s status bar.
- Step 6: Now go to any youtube, metacafe, google video page and when the video starts loading online, click the icon on the status bar and FF will automatically start downloading the video

You can download a plugin called tamper data. https://addons.mozilla.org/nl/firefox/addon/966
This would work for any site. Including all the nice videos by Douglas Crackford on Yahoo video.
This will let you monitor the resources requested by any website. You can filter by mime type usually (video/x-flv). Get the URL and download it.
Why no updates? and what happened to the image you promised?
